Revolutionaries, Cobblestones & Ivy Leaguers In Boston

We’re excited to announce that today we are unlocking Boston as a Sidewalk city. You can now search the collection of neighborhood Sidewalks to explore the best of Boston and Cambridge.

Whether you’re an inquisitive local or an out-of-towner, download the free Sidewalk app for iOS on the App Store and for Android on Google Play, to discover local perspectives and insider recommendations for places Bostonians know and love. We also invite you to create your own Sidewalks to publish and share (you can even earn a little cash on the side).

Boston marks our sixth featured city, after debuting in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle and unlocking Washington DC this summer. We’re thrilled to see Bostonians create story-worthy experiences in time for the back-to-school and leaf peeping seasons.

Boston overflows with stories and sights to discover: Revolutionary War history, world-class universities, architectural charm, clam chowder and witchcraft. While the home of the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots is no stranger to walking tours, Sidewalk introduces something brand new: off-the-beaten-path walks created by those looking to share their perspectives and favorite places. And these digital, self-guided walks are available whenever you are.

We’re unlocking Boston with nine Sidewalks, crafted by locals, created just for you:

Clearly there are many more stories to tell about Boston. Are you a sports fanatic who knows the ins and outs of Fenway Park? A beer enthusiast looking for a side gig who knows every tavern, brewery and watering hole? A urban developer who has witnessed the evolution of the city? A travel blogger who knows the best spots to sip, shop and snack? Or someone who just wants to share their perfect Boston afternoon in a city guide?

Check out our tips for Guides and create a Sidewalk that showcases your favorite Boston neighborhoods. Help others see the city the way you do, and earn a few dollars as well.

Stay tuned for more updates on our next city launch. In the meantime, keep sharing your stories and let us know where you’re looking to go explore by leaving a comment below or on our Facebook page.
