Light Up the Golden Gate Bridge
Light x Sidewalk: A Picture Perfect Pair
The first in a series of Light photo walks was published to explore new techniques, composition considerations and uncommon locations to photograph San Francisco’s most iconic landmark: the Golden Gate Bridge.
The “Light Presents: 5 Ways to Photograph the Golden Gate Bridge” Sidewalk is a self-guided photo walk curated and designed by Light technical support specialist, content marketer, and professional photographer Brian Fulda. On the walk along the southern, San Francisco side of the bridge, Brian provides tips and recommendations for how you can frame perfect pictures, whether you’re shooting with a L16 camera, a DSLR or a smartphone camera.
A foundational tenant of all Sidewalks is to use storytelling to create appreciation and context. “Light Presents…” is no different. In addition to photography recommendations, Brian also divulges on the fight against the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, the colors that the U.S. Army originally wanted to paint the bridge, and where to look for the Art Deco ornamentations on the structure.
“We are thrilled to have Light as a partner on the Sidewalk platform,” said Sidewalk co-founder Jason Donahue. “The 21st Century consumer is looking for rewarding interactive experiences, and Light is an expert at telling great stories through photography, guidance and insight.”
Given strong early reviews of the Light L16 walk, there will be many more to come. “This walk allows Light to showcase our expertise, engage with customers and photography enthusiasts, and extend our product offering with an interactive experience,” said Julie Rajagopal, Director of Web Product and Ecommerce for Light. “Sidewalk is the perfect experiential product to complement the L16 hardware and software suite.”
The Light L16 Camera combines breakthrough optics design with never-before-seen imaging technology to bring you the camera of the future. With more than 16 camera modules packed into its slim frame, the L16 captures the details of your scene at multiple focal lengths, then uses sophisticated algorithms to combine multiple exposures into a single high-resolution photo. As Light provides a high-quality DSLR alternative, the company continually works to show the full range of capabilities that can be found in a pocket-sized camera.
